Park Place Associates was established in 1982. Charlene McIlnay purchased the Blowing Rock real estate sales company in 1999. She started a resort rental company, Blue Ridge Rentals, in 1997 and built both companies with her motto "going the extra mile". The most recent Park Place expansion is in the area of commercial sales and log home development.
